“ I really enjoyed my meal at Blue Sushi. I found out they do 25% off of vegan sushi on Tuesdays, and although I'm not vegan I was excited to save money on sushi! My boyfriend and I went for dinner and each got two rolls and spent about twenty dollars each (after tip). Our regular roles and vegan rolls were both fantastic! He even preferred the vegan option to the regular sushi, and said it was just as filling. The restaurant clearly uses high quality fish, and fresh vegan ingredients. I will say that if you don't want to wait, you will need a reservation. Our wait was only about twenty minutes though, so not worse than other sit-down restaurants in the area. Plus, the service once we sat down was fantastic. Another thing to note is that the music is quite loud, and all high-energy remixes. Probably not where you want to go if you're looking for a calm evening. Overall, Blue Sushi is probably my favorite sushi in Birmingham, and I will definitely go back on Tuesday nights for the vegan sushi! ”

“ This was my first time dining at Blue Sushi and I was pretty impressed! The inside is funky and well decorated. We made a reservation since I've heard it can have high wait times on weekends. What we ordered: Crispy Rice Cake: I had very high hopes for this appetizer but it unfortunately didn't live up to my expectations. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was just way too much rice. The ratio of rice to the tuna on top just didn't match. It's only 4 pieces and the majority of it is rice. Personally, it would be best if the rice was spread thinner and topped with a tad more tuna. Hotel Cali: my FAVORITE! This is a fried roll that's topped with a sweet and spicy chili sauce. It may not be traditional sushi but I do love a fired roll. Green Eggs And Hama: this roll was super tasty! It was my second favorite of what we ordered. Shiitake To Me: a vegan roll filled with shiitake mushrooms. If you love mushrooms, this one is for you. Overall, I think Blue Sushi has a great concept with such a unique execution. While I'm not vegan, I appreciate the large vegan selection on the menu. They also prioritize sustainability through their Conscious Earth program which is awesome! ”

“ I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now and I decided to try it on a Wednesday night. I got there around 4:30. They do have happy hour from 4 PM to 6 PM and then on Sundays they have happy hour all day long. Included in their happy hour is food as well. Harrison was our server and he was very attentive and gave good recommendations on drinks and food. I started off with a raspberry Mojito. It was very delicious. Very fruity. We got California roll, Philadelphia roll and rice cake, which the rice cake was a little spicy. My partner has been to Japan before and said it looked very Japanese in there. The decor was very awesome. Not like any other sushi place. I've been to in the Birmingham area. I will definitely be back sooner than later ”

“ It was an awsome experience!I Ate so much I was so full! For children I reccomend the Bento Box. It include sushi,fruit and I forgot the rest.For adults I reccomend the sushi.And a dish to share for the whole family would be the beef grill basically,it is hot stone circle(DO NOT TOUCH!!!!!) using this circle you can grill meat and it is really great! “ Love the ambience here and the fun decor. The servers are knowledgeable about the menu and their sustainability practices which is great! I have been here a few times and the quality is always good. The sushi roll menu is extensive with lots of unique options, so plenty of reasons to go back. The appetizers/shareable plates are my favorite though. The crispy rice cakes are so good I always need to order more than one. My only complaint was with the crab Rangoons, they were disappointing and hardly filled with cream cheese ir crab. It's mostly just puff. ”

“ Blue Sushi has quickly become one of my favorite sushi restaurants in the area! The food and service are always spectacular. Quick, quality service and casual but nice atmosphere. Food is always cooked fresh to order. My favorites are the calamari, ceviche, and the lion roll. They have all day happy hour on Sundays which is a nice bonus. It has become a bit more crowded on Sundays because of this, but with good reason! I would make a reservation if it'll be more than 2 people. My fav drink is still the Bluetini! The coconut breezy is the runner up! Can't wait to visit again! ”

“ My daughters bought me here for lunch to celebrate my birthday we had this place bookmarked to try for a while so I was very excited to go very cute restaurant perfect for dinner with friends or a intimate date night we sat on the patio which was nice I ordered the lettuce wrap & chose the chicken as my protein & they were outfreakinstanding!!! Roll wise we had the Hotel cali lion king & the thriller I enjoyed everything except the thriller we also had the white peach daiquiri with boba which were good but strong overall great place delicious food ”

“ Came here to celebrate a birthday. Very cute ambiance and I enjoyed that the seating arrangements are so close together. I believe our waitress name was Annie and she was amazing. Came to clean the table regularly, refills on waters, great personality with a sense of humor. I personally don't eat sushi so I went with the lettuce wraps which was a shareable appetizer so enough for just me and I loved it, along with the Crab Mango Rangoon. The Brussel sprouts were just okay. They weren't bad but I personally wouldn't order them again. I did try one of my friends Hawaiian Roll and it was pretty tasty. ”
